More Information

A butterfly valve is a type of quarter-turn valve that operates by using a disk-shaped rotary actuator to control the flow of fluid through a pipe. The actuator is attached to a rod that passes through the center of the valve body, and it rotates on a horizontal axis to either open or close the valve. When the actuator is turned 90 degrees, it aligns with the flow of fluid and allows it to pass through the valve unimpeded. When the actuator is turned in the opposite direction, it obstructs the flow of fluid and blocks it from passing through the valve.
