The Most Anticipated Samsung Galaxy “S22” Series Lineup

Even though the company’s next big thing (s) seems to be pretty well assured to keep potential purchasers waiting until at least February for a worldwide commercial release, it appears as if Samsung has many problems keeping its next big thing (s) under wraps. It will be a couple of months before the Galaxy S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra will be released, and believe it or not (we certainly do), we’ve already received several credible reports about the color options of the 5G-enabled Galaxy S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra, as well as one shockingly early real-life visual leak and the traditional factory CAD-based, renders prematurely revealing the three designs in their entirety.

More Chromatic Options than Intended

Unfortunately, as predicted a month and a half ago, the “full” color roster expected for the S22 family is unlikely to be complete after all. That’s not unexpected given how this kind of thing tends to change as production advances, and given that Samsung has most likely not begun mass production yet, we wouldn’t be surprised if even more choices are added at the last minute to the list.

According to the current situation, GalaxyClub’s typically reliable insiders are virtually prepared to vouch for the following flavors:

  • Galaxy S22 comes in various colors, including blue, grey, purple, beige, black, white, green, and rose gold.
  • Galaxy S22 Plus is available in multiple colors: blue, grey, purple, beige, black, white, green, and rose gold.
  • Galaxy S22 Ultra is available in five colors: black, white, dark red, and green.

To answer your question, the newest color options for the three (or rather two) lists are blue, grey, purple, and beige, with the lack of further information on the S22 Ultra indicating that the largest (and most impressive) member of the ultra-high-end trio will be released in the minor quantities possible, according to the latest reports. The alternative is to consider that, despite the real-life leak, the S Pen-wielding behemoth is just the best-kept secret of the group, which would explain why the ultimate marketing moniker for the device is still up in the air.

Whatever Samsung ultimately decides to do in terms of official branding, it’s crucial to remember that paint job availability might vary significantly from place to region, depending on the market. Consequently, it is probably not a good idea to make any solid plans to purchase a Galaxy S22 5G or S22 Ultra 5G with a purple coating or a dark red tint in the United States. Not for the time being, and certainly not for February or early March.

Premium Designs & Specifications Everywhere

Unfortunately for hardcore Samsung fans who may have looked forward to radical upgrades in other departments, we don’t see many of those happening. A snazzy-sounding color like purple or beige is bound to go nicely with the proper glass backs of both the S22 and S22+ (as well as the S22 Ultra, of course). If nothing else, the Galaxy S22 series, which will be capable of 5G, is likely to appear very similar to the S21 series, with more of the same to be expected in terms of screen resolution, storage, and memory, most importantly, battery capacity. If anything, the Galaxy S22 and S22+ 5G are expected to have somewhat smaller batteries than their predecessors, even though Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 engine is expected to cut the energy consumption of its predecessor and hence contribute to more consistent battery life ratings.

Of course, it’s important to note that the “regular-sized” S22 is likely to pack a larger 3,700mAh battery into a more compact shell than the S21, which has a display that’s smaller than 6.1 inches. Because of the absence of a resolution update, this display and those on the S22+ and S22 Ultra may gain in brightness to compensate. Furthermore, given Samsung’s track record, additional minor modifications and enhancements are possibly in the works. Finally, but not least, almost all of the cameras are expected to be significantly better in both visible and subtle ways, with the potential to create an overall photographic and file sharing experience unlike anything else that Samsung has been able to provide in the recent past. That alone should be enough to keep you enthused for the next couple of months or so, regardless of how many times and how thoroughly the Galaxy S22 5G series leaks in the intervening period.
