Shocking 2022 iPhone Design Revealed by New Apple Leak

iPhone transfers

Apple has been around for more than a decade now, the Silicon Valley-based tech giant has established itself as a luxury brand that can’t be ignored. The company has worked tirelessly over the years to deliver the most premium products to its consumers. The sleek designs and amazing features are the reason that the company has managed to stay at the top for so long.

The tech giant just unveiled a slew of new products and speculations have already started swirling around Apple’s next iPhone, the iPhone 14. Major iPhone design changes are rare, but new research has suggested Apple fans are in for a surprise following the initial iPhone 14 rumors.

iPhone 14 Design Leaked

Apple is making a big design improvement to the 2022 iPhone SE, according to a new rumor from influential Chinese blog MyDrivers. The change is so significant that iPhone 13 upgraders may want to hold off and save their money.

According to the source, the new third-generation iPhone SE, which will be released in early 2022, will not be based on the iPhone 8, but rather on the iPhone XR. Surprisingly, the report also claims that Touch ID would be used instead of Face ID, a biometric technique that is probably more practical for a world where masks are still worn. This could also indicate a smaller or non-existent notch.

The best news, though, is that the iPhone SE3 will come with 5G and the same A15 CPU as the iPhone 13 series. If this is right, this is most likely non-mmWave 5G and the slightly less powerful version of the A15 utilized in non-Pro devices. Regardless, it should indicate that the phone will be supported for the same amount of time as its costlier counterparts. The device will be able to carry out iPhone transfers with ease.

The only bad news is that it has been reported that storage will start at 64GB, which is understandable, and that it will cost $516. Although the enhancements would justify a price hike, this is much more than the $454 that the gen-two iPhone SE presently sells in China.

Worth Mentioning

While the source of the aforementioned information is almost certainly correct, the disclosure contradicts another claim. Ross Young and Ming-Chi Kuo, both respected insiders, claim that a bezel-less iPhone SE redesign will not arrive until 2023.

However, according to Kuo, Apple wants to include 5G in the iPhone SE in 2022, making it the “cheapest 5G iPhone ever,” and the company has a history of cutting costs by recycling older parts and hardware. So, even for Apple, waiting until 2023 to relaunch a design initially introduced in 2018 might be pushing it.

Furthermore, with the earliest iPhone 14 rumors claiming that Apple is working on a “full redesign” of the iPhone line for 2022, this might be the springboard for an improvement to the iPhone SE design.

Because the 6.1-inch iPhone 13 starts at $799, this gives potential iPhone 13 upgraders something to consider. Even with a price rise, you’d be getting the same screen size, identical design, and comparable performance for hundreds of dollars less than the iPhone SE series. The decision now is whether you’ll wait for the main upgrade or settle for the iPhone 13 instead.
